Privacy Policy
DRAFT. This text is waiting for the owner's review and is not final.
Tara teaches everyday Tagalog. This page says what Tara keeps about you and why. In short: we keep what the app needs to work, we don't track you, and we don't show ads.
What we keep
- Email address and password, only if you make an account. Your password is stored by our sign-in provider in scrambled form; we can't read it. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we get the email that service shares with us.
- Learning progress: lessons finished, XP, streak, daily goal and settings. On your device this is saved without an account. With an account it is also saved online so it follows you to another device.
- Friends and display name, if you use the friends features: the name you choose, your friend code, your friend requests, and your weekly XP on the leaderboard. Your friends can see your display name and weekly XP.
Who processes it
We use Supabase to store accounts and progress and to handle sign-in. Supabase acts as our processor: it holds the data for us and only on our behalf. We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else.
No tracking, no ads
Tara has no advertising, no ad networks and no analytics that follow you across apps or websites. We don't build a profile of you.
Deleting your account
In the app, open Settings, then Delete account. This removes your account, your online progress and your friends data. Progress saved only on your device can be erased with Reset all progress, or by deleting the app. If you can't use the app, email us and we will delete it for you.
Children
Tara is not aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and say so in the app.
